I'm an adventure student (required to bike, hike, and climb for an hons. degree? Yes please), mountain biker, sea kayaker, would-be climber that spends too many hours at the bouldering wall, life long hiker and budding mountaineer, tattoo enthusiast (one and counting so far...), music junkie, and bookworm.

Erratic and ever so slightly inclined to acting like an obsessive stalker, yet reasonably friendly... I think...

Stuff I like goes here. No pattern. No theme. No reason. No half measures.

This is my trilobite tattoo. His name is Toby and he is my third, and largest tattoo. A bit of backstory: I got a tribal fern tattoo on my foot about two years ago and many of my friends, and even strangers, would ask me if it was a trilobite. It kind of became a running joke with those who know me. So I decided to get an actual trilobite tattoo so that when people ask me if my fern is a trilobite I can say “No, but let me show you my actual trilobite tattoo!”. I’m a geology major, so it also represents my love for everything old, fossilized and rocky. And to make it even more perfect, the trilobite happens to be the state fossil of Wisconsin, where I grew up. I plan on moving out west when I graduate next year, so it serves as an homage to my homeland :)
Toby was tattooed by the lovely Chris Stoffes at Body Rituals in Milwaukee, WI. He is not only a fantastic artist, but an all around super nice guy. He was really concerned with giving me a tattoo that would age well and look like an actual fossil. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend him, as well as the rest of the Body Rituals crew.
